Platform fines & payout holds
Marketplace, payment and SaaS platform terms let the operator impose fines, deductions, rolling reserves and 90-180-day payout holds, and change commissions or logistics tariffs unilaterally; sanctions are applied by algorithm without explanation or appeal.

Why it bites
Cash-flow strangulation; fines for events outside your control (hacked seller cabinet — Wildberries); no due process; penalties disproportionate to the breach; tariffs that changed almost daily.
Is it enforceable where you are
The same clause can be routine in one country and void in another. What follows is what the law says where you are — not advice on your particular contract.
In the EU, platform terms are covered by Directive 93/13, the Digital Content Directive 2019/770 and DSA Art 14; in the US, ROSCA and FTC Act §5 apply to consumer sign-ups, and browsewrap acceptance turns on notice.
United States
B2B terms generally enforceable; FTC Act §5 unfairness and state law offer limited relief; payment-processor holds governed by card-network rules.
